An Exquisite and Signed Porcelain Painting Panel
The collophon and signature indicates that it is painted by Liu Yu Chen during the year 1927. Liu (1904-1969) came to the porcelain capitol ZhinDe Zhanto practice porcelain painting in 1922. He is one of the eight friends of Zhu hill; these ar the most accomplished porcelain painters of the Republic Period. He specializes in painting flowers and birds. The poem (collophone) describes that (lake/river) water rises and covers ten miles; the reed flower shows among tall and short trees.
