Lot: 135 Tall Slender Blue and White Phoenix Tail Vase with a Xuande Mark A tall and elegant baluster body is surmounted by a tall waisted neck rising to a straight slightly-flaring mouth with rolled rim, supported on a waisted foot. The neck is reverse decorated with a band of lappets and a band of leaf tips separated by a raised rib. The mouth is embellished with a flower head border, flanked by a pair of elephant head handles at the neck. The body is decorated with a pair of phoenixes amongst peony foliage and rocks, and the shoulder with a band of lotus scrolls.
